Tamara

A handcrafted platter inspired by “the lotus effect”, celebrating resilience and life’s beauty.

Inspiration

Ancient Indian scriptures speak of how Lord Brahma emerged from a golden lotus blooming from Lord Vishnu’s navel. Yet equally revered was the lotus leaf – the mystical platform that cradles water droplets like pearls of wisdom and made the lotus flower stay afloat on cosmic waters. This divine phenomenon, known as ‘the lotus effect,’ taught sages the art of being in this world while remaining untouched by it, as the leaf holds water in perfect spheres upon its surface, neither absorbing nor rejecting.

Taking inspiration from this sacred symbolism, Tamara embodies both the flower’s journey of transformation and the leaf’s wisdom of graceful existence. Our handcrafted wooden platter mirrors the lotus leaf’s gentle curves, each ripple telling a story of natural perfection. Like the leaf that makes the lotus rise above murky waters each dawn, supporting the divine flower while remaining pristine, Tamara elevates your dining experience into a reminder of life’s delicate balance – celebrating both the lotus’s journey of transcendence and its leaf’s lesson of mindful living.
